photoblog image <br>One for Chris

One for Chris

There's no escape from Shutterchancers, even in Florence :-)  This fine example of what we might call a "stretched bench" is in the courtyard of the Ospedale degli Innocenti - the home for children, usually abandoned by unwed mothers.  Looks as though it needs a little of Chris's tender, loving care. Cool

Funny you should mention that, Tom...every time I see a neglected bench in a park I think of how I might pack it up and send it off the Chris' [Tiff] Retirement Home for Benches.

This one is a beauty.
dont think that would fit in Chris's garden, nice shot Tom

Chris's bench can only just look up at this one Tom ;-) richard
A matching threesome. The pot, the bench and the floor. Benches have taken on a whole new significance on SC

LOL! Yes, a proper bench. Looks in a slightly better condition than that of Chris'.

Oh yes, this is a fine bench in a rather good state- and a bigger group of children or a whole school class could find here place for a photoshooting - I could also imagine that some tourists exhausted from their sightseeing-tours could find a good rest here. Chris may not be the right person to rescue old benches with "tender, loving care". This bench might tell a lot of moving stories after having seen so many tears and pains of the "Innocenti"!
Tom Wilson: Thanks for the visit and the comment, Philine - I'm sure you are right about the stories!
