photoblog image Siena-the Campo - B&W

Siena-the Campo - B&W

A new version of BWStyler, which I've used for years now, turned up, so I thought I'd play with it on a recent image.  I figure it may be best to turn scanned prints into B&W - it seems to suit them, and it gets rid of some odd colours :-)

Good idea. I have done b&w on scans as well. They present better that way. You have a great result here.
Tom Wilson: Thanks, Louis.
Looks to be a handy plug-in Tom, I like your composition here.
Tom Wilson: Thanks, Brian - it's a pretty sophisticated bit of software, you can simulate all kinds of conditions, such as film type, filter used, paper hardness, etc.
