Taking the 25mm for a walk - 1

I was sufficiently intrigued by reviews of the Pergear f1.8 25mm manual focus lens, to take a punt on it - after all, not much like this is available for £70.00.  It arrived faster than originally said (from Amazon), so I took it for walk in the Botanical Gardens.  This is shot from the woodland area looking across to another of Sheffield's nine hills (the Gardens are half-way up another hill!).

it is a lovely scene, Tom.

You might need to work a bit on focus... smile
Tom Wilson: Yes, indeed, focusing is a bit tricky with my eyesight smile
It gives the background a soft focus.
Tom Wilson: I think I should have stopped down the aperture somewhat smile

It's nice to experiment Tom. This looks a nice place to take your lens for a walk..
Tom Wilson: Yes, fortunately the Botanical Gardens are only five mins walk away.
A fairly soft image but pleasing
Tom Wilson: Thanks, Bill - poor focusing on my part - had the lens wide open!

Is that Rees-Mogg you have captured?
Tom Wilson: I don't think he'd be allowed in Sheffield, Chad - at least not alive!
Practice makes perfect.
Tom Wilson: I'll get there smile
Another fine performer by the look of it Tom.
Tom Wilson: Certainly for the money!
